Dharohar'11 - A Success!!


We are delighted to announce the splendid success of Dharohar'11.The glorious celebration of Indian culture has again left an unforgettable impact on the minds of people in Pantnagar. Mellifluous songs, expressive dances , self elucidating art, orations surfeited with wisdom, group discussions on burning topics, music and vogue hinting at the fusion of modern lifestyle with our ethnic culture and the fun activities were woven into the filigree of this festival. We are obliged to our alumni for their support and encouragement. We are also thankful to the distinguished personalities and the Pantnagar populace for their appreciation.
Here is a solemn promise to keep bringing forth ideas to bind the youth with our cultural values and provide newer ways for development of talent in all dimensions through the legend, aptly titled as 'University Cultural Festival', DHAROHAR.

The Pantnagar Chapter of SPIC MACAY was established on 15th Feb.,1984, and through these years, we have evolved in knowledge, exposure and experience. With the ceaseless efforts of the Chapter members, the Staff Counsellor, and the University Administration, and amalgamated with the patronage of the dozens of Indian classical dance and music forms, the Pantnagar Chapter of SPIC MACAY has had the opportunities to witness some of the greatest living exponents of the traditional Indian art forms. It is our endeavor to help disseminate the best of the Indian classical heritage with its attendant legends, rituals, mythologies and philosophies to young students and professionals.
