ARTIST NIGHT



Music is proclaimed to be the best way to forget one's sorrows, to spread happiness and to transport oneself to the magical world. So, Here comes the platform to witness a spell bound performance by renowned Sitar Maestro Pt. Prateek Chaudhuri with Ustad Rashid Zafar Khan on 19th January, 2012. With their soul stirring appeal, they intend to mesmerize the audience.

 Pt. Prateek Chaudhuri is acclaimed as one of the most outstanding Sitar player of the country today. He has also got the honour to perform in front of the President of India. Apart from other awards and recognition, he has also been listed amongst the Prominent Personalities of the world.

We, the executive body members of SPIC MACAY, Pantnagar chapter are looking forward for a successful event. Hope that this event turns up as an inspirational source for the entire audience of Pantnagar.

The Pantnagar Chapter of SPIC MACAY was established on 15th Feb.,1984, and through these years, we have evolved in knowledge, exposure and experience. With the ceaseless efforts of the Chapter members, the Staff Counsellor, and the University Administration, and amalgamated with the patronage of the dozens of Indian classical dance and music forms, the Pantnagar Chapter of SPIC MACAY has had the opportunities to witness some of the greatest living exponents of the traditional Indian art forms. It is our endeavor to help disseminate the best of the Indian classical heritage with its attendant legends, rituals, mythologies and philosophies to young students and professionals.
